Chef Ska Mirriam Moteane is an award-winning chef, culinary consultant and champion of African food heritage.

Recipient of His Majesty King Letsie III’s Honour Award for Indigenous Food Heritage and Culinary Excellence (2026), she is the author of Cuisine of the Mountain Kingdom, winner of the 2013 Gourmand Award for Best African Cookbook in the World.

Chef Ska champions the recognition, preservation and promotion of Africa’s culinary identity, advocating for African chefs to tell their own stories, celebrate their indigenous ingredients and take their rightful place in shaping the future of global gastronomy.
